Devices

In the Devices menu are displayed all the detected devices on the networks you manage.

In the list, you will find current information about the device: Name or detected names, tags, IPs and detected type.

You may delete a device, but be aware that if it is still online or if it comes back online, it will be recreated.

By clicking the Name of the device, you access the detailed view about that device: all known information about the device is displayed there.

Tags

From the detailed view, you can tag devices. These tags will be used in the VLAN Assignment Rules.

Merging

If 2 MAC addresses belong to the same device, you can merge the automatically created devices into one by clicking the merge button.

Tip

A device with several MACs counts only as 1 device for the subscriptions.

You can also unlink a MAC by clicking the button.

Events

Events are the logs of what is going on you networks and that could require your attention.

They have 3 levels:

  • Information.
  • Warning: These are usually events that are not fatal but could change the way ELAN platform reacts.
  • Danger: These are usually events that are failures of some sort.

Type and source are also displayed among with a description message.

Connections

All connections from all agents of the account are visible in the Connection menu.

The connections logged are the ones that go through an VLAN interface of an agent as defined in Agent VLANs.

If the device is local, the device name will be displayed instead of the IP. You may still access MAC and IP by clicking the button.
